Cinnabun

Cinnabun is the Red Dorking hen we got a few years ago.  She came to us with a very bad case of bumblefoot. We pulled her through that, but it left her feet damaged.  The scars from the bumblefoot are scabs and calluses and a mess.  She is having more trouble walking - I think because there is damage to both muscles and tendons.  So I'm soaking her feet in hot, soapy water and we will try to get her cleaned up.  One foot is bleeding a bit, so she can't go back out until that has started healing.

Yesterday's odd question was from a new egg customer who asked if that was caviar on top of the deviled eggs I'd brought to a party last week - since his SO was a vegetarian.  My reply was that, if she was that strict a vegetarian, then she wouldn't want to eat our eggs because, unlike supermarket eggs, ours are fertile.  And I had no idea if the caviar I'd put on top of the deviled eggs was from fertilized fish eggs or not.  But he bought eggs anyhow, so ... ... ...
