Our tent has yellow stripes this year, which gives all the pictures taken inside an odd golden glow. This is from yesterday when we set up everything.

This morning we got to the tent shortly after 8:00 and helped with the unloading of animals. Here Tom is goat rangling an angora! Later on he chased down an escaped angora rabbit.

This is how my corner looked shortly before opening. Notice the handspun, handknit socks I've displayed on my fence, right near a black box. The black box is full of Hand Sanitizer - don't know why, we never had that before. I had to move the socks when I caught people sanitizing their hands and drying them on my socks. That was very weird! But on the very nice side, I met someone who reads the blog!

Kathy, who is in charge of the main Hall at the Fair with all the craft and food exhibits entered a wonderful display to celebrate a bit of island life. Her display is all about the Book Sale! It has our ad, various cook and craft books found at the sale, and items made from recipes and patterns in the books. Very clever!

I entered the Fair Isle vest in the Fair, took First. Entered the red and white socks which were about the most technically complicated thing I've knit, got nothing. The sheep afghan took a second (the note from the judges daid the the ends on the backside were not well woven in), and the skein I drop spindled took a third.
I wove about a yard today in 12 hours. This is the pattern.

Tom taught 104 people to weave and took in $80 in contributions to help defray the costs of the tent.
We are exhausted and headed for bed!
