The parrot is getting along fairly well. He still doesn't like us one little bit and lunges if we come close to the cage. But he will take crackers from our hands and will dash over to see what is in his food treat bowl. Peas are popular as are pistachios in the shell.

He is eating, which is what really counts. Birky had a panic attack last night - I think we turned the lights off in the dining room too soon, before he was all settled down. And the only light was in our bedroom. He flew towards that and ended up on a tall screen. I hear the thwump of his landing and went to check. He let me get him back in the cage with only a little nip. We will try to get him to settle down tonight before turning off the lights.

I can't do much cage cleaning, except for changing the paper because he gets too upset if I mess with his cage. But his owners can take care of that when they get back.
